We are a locally, family-owned business who's #1 goal is keeping items from the landfill! When we say we recycle and donate as much as possible, we mean it! Items that can be donated are given to local families in need, rather than dropped off to a thrift store to for them to sell. We also recycle many materials that are often considered non-recyclable by others! The #1 item WE recycle is lumber. Lumber, wooden furniture, and things of that nature are often referred to as "trash" and are taken straight to the landfill. I, however, have found a way around it! often times, wooden furniture can be repaired and donated. other times, they can be used as hardware-donors to fix up and repair other pieces! what happens to the wooden pieces after the hardware is removed? well visit our facebook page "XS Recyclers Waste Management" and check out our album titled "Recycling the XS" to see some pictures, or scroll down and take a look at some of my favorites! 

I am 21 years old and I have 2 year old twins. This will be my second year doing this as a full-time operation! Whenever I'm not working, I am spending time with the twins either at home or we go out somewhere. our favorite thing to do at home is either building with blocks or driving around matchbox cars! (they love to crash into me. we'll have to work on that). I have recently started to take an interest in woodworking when they go to sleep. I like the challenge of creating things that are useful out of the scrap wood I have accumulated that would've otherwise been "trash".
